Aims of the course
- To help you develop your performance as a learner.
- To help you develop and demonstrate a range of teamwork and employability skills.
- To provide a way in which you can gain credit for what you have learnt from the wide variety of activities you are undertaking both inside and outside formal education.
The AQA Unit Award Scheme can:
- Recognise your personal achievements
- Help you to manage your own learning
- Broaden your experiences
- Develop your employability skills and personal effectiveness
- Help you build your record of achievement
- Complement your GCSE qualifications
The Units that we undertake allow students to:
- Take responsibility for planning, organising and carrying out a number of activities or challenges
- Develop and provide evidence of working with others, improving own learning and performance and problem solving
- Develop and provide evidence of the skills of research, discussion and presentation
- Produce evidence of your achievements in a portfolio

Activities and challenges will allow students to develop and showcase their own interests as well as undertaking guided projects in some of the following areas

The course is practically based but does require evidence to be produced using a variety of skills – ICT, hand written, photographs and oral presentations.
